# Doodle Mirror vs UglyBooth

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UglyBooth at none against Doodle Mirror's 3. UglyBooth also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Doodle Mirror's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle Mirror sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. UglyBooth asks for nothing beyond the download.

Doodle Mirror holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Doodle Mirror has 3.1K ratings behind it against 403, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Doodle Mirror's written reviews are positive against 78% of UglyBooth's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Doodle Mirror ships an update every 11 days, UglyBooth every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
