# evo Magazine vs Performance VW

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Performance VW at 75% against evo Magazine's 37%. Performance VW also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). evo Magazine's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (308 vs 35). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. evo Magazine sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Performance VW sells 35 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Performance VW holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: evo Magazine has 308 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of evo Magazine's written reviews are positive against 75% of Performance VW's.

evo Magazine ships an update every 2 months, Performance VW every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
