# Flash Reader vs Speedy Reader

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Speedy Reader at 100% against Flash Reader's 49%. Speedy Reader also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Flash Reader's advantage is ratings volume (162 vs 4) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flash Reader sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Speedy Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedy Reader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2.
