# BrewGene vs OnlyDrams

The clearest difference is rating: OnlyDrams at 4.9 against BrewGene's 4.0. OnlyDrams also leads on ratings volume (9.3K vs 75) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). BrewGene's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OnlyDrams sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. BrewGene asks for nothing beyond the download.

OnlyDrams holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OnlyDrams has 9.3K ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of BrewGene's written reviews are positive against 65% of OnlyDrams's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrewGene ships an update every 6 weeks, OnlyDrams fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
