# BrewGene vs Tavour

The clearest difference is rating: Tavour at 4.7 against BrewGene's 4.0. Tavour also leads on ratings volume (8.8K vs 75). BrewGene's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 57%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tavour holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tavour has 8.8K ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of BrewGene's written reviews are positive against 57% of Tavour's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrewGene ships an update every 6 weeks, Tavour every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
