# Unit Converter vs Fireproof

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fireproof at none against Unit Converter's 3. Fireproof also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Unit Converter's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unit Converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Fireproof asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fireproof holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unit Converter has 1.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Unit Converter ships an update weekly, Fireproof every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
