# BlackBerry Workspaces vs Security on the go

The clearest difference is update cadence: Security on the go at every 5 weeks against BlackBerry Workspaces's every 3 months. Security on the go also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlackBerry Workspaces ships an update every 3 months, Security on the go every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
