# DropCopy vs Brightly Lights

The clearest difference is rating: Brightly Lights at 5.0 against DropCopy's 4.4. Brightly Lights also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). DropCopy's advantage is review sentiment (91% vs 50%) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DropCopy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Brightly Lights asks for nothing beyond the download.

Brightly Lights holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DropCopy has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of DropCopy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Brightly Lights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DropCopy ships an update every 5 weeks, Brightly Lights every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
