# Gingerbread Fun! vs Cupcake Doodle

The clearest difference is price: Gingerbread Fun! at Free against Cupcake Doodle's $0.99. Gingerbread Fun! also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 21 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Cupcake Doodle's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Gingerbread Fun! is free to download; Cupcake Doodle costs $0.99 up front. Gingerbread Fun! sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Cupcake Doodle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gingerbread Fun! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gingerbread Fun! has 1.9K ratings behind it against 261, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Gingerbread Fun!'s written reviews are positive against 90% of Cupcake Doodle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
