# Stansted vs Bus & Tram

The clearest difference is rating: Bus & Tram at 4.8 against Stansted's 3.0. Bus & Tram also leads on ratings volume (235 vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Stansted's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bus & Tram holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bus & Tram has 235 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Stansted's written reviews are positive against 15% of Bus & Tram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stansted ships an update every 4 months, Bus & Tram monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
