# Checkers game vs TacTicX

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Checkers game at 3.5K against TacTicX's 13. Checkers game also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4). TacTicX's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checkers game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TacTicX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Checkers game holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Checkers game has 3.5K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Checkers game's written reviews are positive against 100% of TacTicX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers game ships an update monthly, TacTicX every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
