# Bonhams vs Aether Auctions

The clearest difference is rating: Aether Auctions at 4.0 against Bonhams's 3.1. Aether Auctions also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). Bonhams's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 13 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aether Auctions holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bonhams has 149 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Bonhams's written reviews are positive against 0% of Aether Auctions's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bonhams ships an update monthly, Aether Auctions every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
