# BookU 趣看書 vs momoBOOK

The clearest difference is rating: momoBOOK at 2.7 against BookU 趣看書's 1.0. momoBOOK also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). BookU 趣看書's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 14%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookU 趣看書 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and momoBOOK sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

momoBOOK holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: momoBOOK has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of BookU 趣看書's written reviews are positive against 14% of momoBOOK's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BookU 趣看書 ships an update every 6 weeks, momoBOOK every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
