# Amtrak vs Convierge

The clearest difference is monetization model: Convierge at free against Amtrak's free with in-app purchases. Convierge also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Amtrak's advantage is ratings volume (221K vs 1) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Convierge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amtrak has 221K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Amtrak ships an update monthly, Convierge every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
