# MyLight vs Screen Light Color

The clearest difference is ads: Screen Light Color at none against MyLight's shown. Screen Light Color also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (90% vs 76%). MyLight's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 495) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyLight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Screen Light Color sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for MyLight against 4.5 for Screen Light Color. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyLight has 29K ratings behind it against 495, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of MyLight's written reviews are positive against 90% of Screen Light Color's.

MyLight ships an update every 5 months, Screen Light Color every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
