# Colorfader vs Real Bokeh

The clearest difference is rating: Colorfader at 4.2 against Real Bokeh's 3.8. Colorfader also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and price ($0.99 vs $2.99). Real Bokeh's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 5) and review sentiment (57% vs 44%). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Colorfader costs $0.99 and Real Bokeh $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Colorfader holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Real Bokeh has 56 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Colorfader's written reviews are positive against 57% of Real Bokeh's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Colorfader ships an update fortnightly, Real Bokeh every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
