# Anime Maker vs Flip Clip App

The clearest difference is rating: Flip Clip App at 3.9 against Anime Maker's 3.4. Flip Clip App also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). Anime Maker's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 20%) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 14). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anime Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Flip Clip App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flip Clip App holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Maker has 1.1K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Anime Maker's written reviews are positive against 20% of Flip Clip App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Anime Maker ships an update every 5 days, Flip Clip App weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
