# GameStop vs G FUEL

GameStop and G FUEL both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 65% of G FUEL's written reviews are positive against 18% of GameStop's. GameStop's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for GameStop against 4.8 for G FUEL. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GameStop has 154K ratings behind it against 5.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of GameStop's written reviews are positive against 65% of G FUEL's.

GameStop ships an update every 2 days, G FUEL every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
