# Exame vs CNN Brasil

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CNN Brasil at none against Exame's 3. CNN Brasil also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). Exame's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exame sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. CNN Brasil asks for nothing beyond the download.

Exame holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 144 and 631 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Exame's written reviews are positive against 47% of CNN Brasil's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Exame ships an update every 5 weeks, CNN Brasil every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
