# Exame vs Estadão Digital

The clearest difference is rating: Exame at 4.9 against Estadão Digital's 4.7. Exame also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Estadão Digital's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 144). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exame sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Estadão Digital sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exame holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Estadão Digital has 1.5K ratings behind it against 144, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Exame's written reviews are positive against 32% of Estadão Digital's.

Exame ships an update every 5 weeks, Estadão Digital every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
