# Exame vs Estadão

The clearest difference is ads: Estadão at none against Exame's shown. Estadão also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 144). Exame's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (36% vs 16%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exame sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Estadão sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exame holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Estadão has 1.3K ratings behind it against 144, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Exame's written reviews are positive against 16% of Estadão's.

Exame ships an update every 5 weeks, Estadão fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
