# יד2 vs Rack

The clearest difference is ads: Rack at none against יד2's shown. Rack also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). יד2's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

יד2 ships an update fortnightly, Rack every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
