# Interval Timer vs Go&Rest

The clearest difference is rating: Go&Rest at 4.9 against Interval Timer's 4.5. Go&Rest also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Interval Timer's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 8) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Go&Rest sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Go&Rest holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Interval Timer has 19K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Interval Timer ships an update every 9 days, Go&Rest every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
