# Interval Timer vs MyFitControl

The clearest difference is rating: MyFitControl at 5.0 against Interval Timer's 4.5. MyFitControl also leads on ads (none vs shown). Interval Timer's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and MyFitControl sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyFitControl holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Interval Timer has 19K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Interval Timer ships an update every 9 days, MyFitControl every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
