# Algebra vs Geometry Tutor

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Algebra at 1.3K against Geometry Tutor's 4. Algebra also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Geometry Tutor's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Algebra sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Geometry Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Geometry Tutor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Algebra has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Algebra's written reviews are positive against 100% of Geometry Tutor's.

Algebra ships an update every 4 months, Geometry Tutor every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
