# Bloomberg Professional vs MSCI

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bloomberg Professional at every 2 weeks against MSCI's every 3 months. Bloomberg Professional also leads on ratings volume (459 vs 8). MSCI's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MSCI holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bloomberg Professional has 459 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bloomberg Professional ships an update every 2 weeks, MSCI every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
