# AutoConnect GPS vs Car

The clearest difference is rating: Car at 5.0 against AutoConnect GPS's 4.6. AutoConnect GPS's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (303 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Car holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AutoConnect GPS has 303 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AutoConnect GPS ships an update fortnightly, Car every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
