# Freelance bookkeeping vs Clockify Time Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Clockify Time Tracker at 4.6 against Freelance bookkeeping's 3.0. Clockify Time Tracker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 2). Freelance bookkeeping's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 49%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Freelance bookkeeping sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Clockify Time Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Clockify Time Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clockify Time Tracker has 4.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Freelance bookkeeping's written reviews are positive against 49% of Clockify Time Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freelance bookkeeping ships an update weekly, Clockify Time Tracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
