# MyUTA vs TERC EarthLabs

The clearest difference is rating: TERC EarthLabs at 5.0 against MyUTA's 2.4. TERC EarthLabs also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). MyUTA's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 53 months) and review sentiment (65% vs 40%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TERC EarthLabs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyUTA has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of MyUTA's written reviews are positive against 40% of TERC EarthLabs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyUTA ships an update every 5 months, TERC EarthLabs every 53 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
