# Tanger vs Under Armour

Tanger and Under Armour both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Under Armour's written reviews are positive against 18% of Tanger's. Under Armour also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Tanger's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tanger against 4.8 for Under Armour. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Under Armour has 77K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of Tanger's written reviews are positive against 82% of Under Armour's.

Tanger ships an update every 5 weeks, Under Armour fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
