# Tanger vs Maharaja MyScan

The clearest difference is ads: Maharaja MyScan at none against Tanger's shown. Maharaja MyScan also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Tanger's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Maharaja MyScan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tanger has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
