# Tanger vs CartHop

The clearest difference is ads: CartHop at none against Tanger's shown. CartHop also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Tanger's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CartHop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tanger has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tanger ships an update every 5 weeks, CartHop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
