# SideBooks vs WoWo Comics

The clearest difference is ads: SideBooks at none against WoWo Comics's shown. SideBooks also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 17) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideBooks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WoWo Comics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SideBooks holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SideBooks has 97 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 74% and 73% positive.

SideBooks ships an update every 9 days, WoWo Comics fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
