# Alchemist Rose vs Drawing Box

The clearest difference is price: Alchemist Rose at Free against Drawing Box's $2.99. Alchemist Rose also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Drawing Box's advantage is review sentiment (96% vs 68%) and ratings volume (31 vs 5). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Alchemist Rose is free to download; Drawing Box costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alchemist Rose holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drawing Box has 31 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Alchemist Rose's written reviews are positive against 96% of Drawing Box's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alchemist Rose ships an update every 3 weeks, Drawing Box every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
