# Alchemist Rose vs Springle

The clearest difference is monetization model: Springle at free against Alchemist Rose's paid. Springle also leads on ratings volume (59 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). Alchemist Rose's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 55 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alchemist Rose holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Springle has 59 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Alchemist Rose's written reviews are positive against 71% of Springle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alchemist Rose ships an update every 3 weeks, Springle every 55 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
