# Splice vs VSilencer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VSilencer at none against Splice's 11. Splice's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (431K vs 262). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Splice sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. VSilencer asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Splice against 4.7 for VSilencer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Splice has 431K ratings behind it against 262, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of Splice's written reviews are positive against 60% of VSilencer's.
