# Splice vs Gif Maker & Gif Editor

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gif Maker & Gif Editor at free with in-app purchases against Splice's subscription. Gif Maker & Gif Editor also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 71%). Splice's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (431K vs 104). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Splice sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Gif Maker & Gif Editor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
