# Splice vs BoomReplay Loop Video Maker

The clearest difference is monetization model: BoomReplay Loop Video Maker at free with in-app purchases against Splice's subscription. BoomReplay Loop Video Maker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Splice's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 36%) and ratings volume (431K vs 544). Both are free to download. Splice sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and BoomReplay Loop Video Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
