# SpeedQuizzing vs The Ultimate Buzzer

The clearest difference is rating: The Ultimate Buzzer at 4.4 against SpeedQuizzing's 3.2. The Ultimate Buzzer also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 58). SpeedQuizzing's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Ultimate Buzzer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. SpeedQuizzing asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Ultimate Buzzer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Ultimate Buzzer has 15K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of SpeedQuizzing's written reviews are positive against 32% of The Ultimate Buzzer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SpeedQuizzing ships an update every 3 weeks, The Ultimate Buzzer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
