# Microsoft OneNote vs Builterra Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Microsoft OneNote at 44% against Builterra Pro's 0%. Microsoft OneNote also leads on ratings volume (1.1M vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Builterra Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft OneNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Builterra Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Builterra Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft OneNote has 1.1M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Microsoft OneNote's written reviews are positive against 0% of Builterra Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Microsoft OneNote ships an update weekly, Builterra Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
