# ReceptionHQ vs Coverage Map

The clearest difference is ads: ReceptionHQ at none against Coverage Map's shown. ReceptionHQ also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Coverage Map's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Coverage Map holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coverage Map has 798 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
