# Mapy.com vs Waymarked Trails

The clearest difference is ads: Waymarked Trails at none against Mapy.com's shown. Waymarked Trails also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). Mapy.com's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 23). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mapy.com sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Waymarked Trails sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mapy.com holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mapy.com has 1.3K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Mapy.com's written reviews are positive against 50% of Waymarked Trails's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
