# KUAF vs Contour TV by Spectrum

The clearest difference is rating: Contour TV by Spectrum at 4.7 against KUAF's 3.5. Contour TV by Spectrum also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 6). KUAF's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 23%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Contour TV by Spectrum holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Contour TV by Spectrum has 12K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of KUAF's written reviews are positive against 23% of Contour TV by Spectrum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KUAF ships an update every 19 months, Contour TV by Spectrum every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
