# Bongos vs Drum Set Pro HD

The clearest difference is rating: Drum Set Pro HD at 4.3 against Bongos's 3.3. Drum Set Pro HD also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5K vs 24). Bongos's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bongos sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Drum Set Pro HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Set Pro HD holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drum Set Pro HD has 5K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Bongos's written reviews are positive against 61% of Drum Set Pro HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bongos ships an update every 2 months, Drum Set Pro HD every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
