# WJCL vs GPB

The clearest difference is ads: GPB at none against WJCL's shown. GPB also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and review sentiment (65% vs 56%). WJCL's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WJCL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WJCL has 1K ratings behind it against 103, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of WJCL's written reviews are positive against 65% of GPB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WJCL ships an update monthly, GPB every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
