# Schoology vs Minga

The clearest difference is rating: Minga at 3.0 against Schoology's 1.3. Minga also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Schoology's advantage is ratings volume (133K vs 7.8K) and chart position (#53 vs #184). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Minga holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Schoology has 133K ratings behind it against 7.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Schoology's written reviews are positive against 12% of Minga's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Schoology ships an update every 2 months, Minga every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
