# Bubble Shooter vs Bubble Shooter Up

The clearest difference is rating: Bubble Shooter at 4.4 against Bubble Shooter Up's 3.9. Bubble Shooter also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 60) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Bubble Shooter Up's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bubble Shooter sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Bubble Shooter Up asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bubble Shooter holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bubble Shooter has 10K ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Bubble Shooter's written reviews are positive against 70% of Bubble Shooter Up's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bubble Shooter ships an update every 3 weeks, Bubble Shooter Up every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
