# Image Info vs Exif Metadata

The clearest difference is rating: Exif Metadata at 4.6 against Image Info's 2.5. Exif Metadata also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (6K vs 4). Image Info's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exif Metadata sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Image Info asks for nothing beyond the download.

Exif Metadata holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exif Metadata has 6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Image Info's written reviews are positive against 42% of Exif Metadata's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Image Info ships an update every 6 months, Exif Metadata fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
