# RTBF Actus vs La Libre Journal +

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RTBF Actus at none against La Libre Journal +'s 4. RTBF Actus also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). La Libre Journal +'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (3.0 vs 2.6). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. La Libre Journal + sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month. RTBF Actus asks for nothing beyond the download.

La Libre Journal + holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTBF Actus has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of RTBF Actus's written reviews are positive against 26% of La Libre Journal +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RTBF Actus ships an update fortnightly, La Libre Journal + every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
