# Touchstone vs BASH

The clearest difference is rating: Touchstone at 5.0 against BASH's 3.1. Touchstone also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). BASH's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (12 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Touchstone sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 6 months. BASH asks for nothing beyond the download.

Touchstone holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BASH has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Touchstone ships an update every 5 days, BASH every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
